The Appalachian Wagon Train

The Appalachian Wagon Train passed the DollHaus on Wednesday, June 23, 1999.  This is the second time since we moved here that the train has traveled along parts of the Old Kittaning Trail:  In 1989  to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Hastings and this year to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of Loretto.  Here are some pictures from this year's visit.

wagontrain1.bmp (710574 bytes) Penelope, Zachary and Pork Chop

wagontrain2.bmp (625566 bytes) Many of the travelers had dogs with them.

wagontrain3.bmp (260950 bytes) This was one of Penelope's favorite horses.

wagontrain4.bmp (965382 bytes) It took the wagons awhile to go down the hill past the spring.
